COPPER CANYON PRIVATE LODGES AWAY FROM MASS TOURS

Mexico EcoTour

Private Lodges, a private railcar with an open deck and naturalist guides provide the most indepth travel experience to Copper Canyon Mexico. Remote lodges perched on the canyon rim and the tropical river. Great hiking, birding, cultural contacts...

Hiking and Birding in the Sierra Madre of Chihuahua and the Tropical Forests of Sinaloa. These are two Endemic Bird Areas with butterflies and exotic flowering trees. Visit with Raramuri (Tarahumara) and Mayo families and observe them plowing fields with oak plows and grinding corn on stone metates. Ride the Chihuahua Pacifico Railroad over 37 bridges and through 87 tunnels as it climbs 8,000 ft. up the sierra. Ride in our private railcar with an open deck and experience this spectacular railway as you sit on deck chairs, sip top shelf margaritas and snack fresh water cheviche. The railcar travel slowly and allows you to view the transition of the Sonoran Sinaloan tropical forest and the conifer forests of the sierra, part of the world's 200 most unique and diverse habitats.
Morning departure on an expedition (you may hike with a guide or ride in our van) through dense ponderosa pines and past high mountain vistas en route to the Cerro Gallego rim. From this lofty precipice, look down over 1 mile into the Urique Canyon, the deepest canyon in North America, and home to the provincial Tarahumara settlement of Urique. Founded in 1690 along the banks of the meandering river, Urique was totally isolated until connected by a switchback mountain road in 1975. The descent begins in a conifer forest and continues through oak and tropical deciduous forest, ending in a riparian habitat at the canyon bottom. Opportunities abound to spot Military Macaw, Tufted Flycatcher, and the elusive Eared Quetzal.

Nature & Wildlife - Guided Wildlife Photography-Viewing Expeditions

Guided Wildlife Photography-Viewing Expeditions

Arizona Wildlife/Safari

Would you like the opportunity to get "up-close" and capture, with the lens of your camera, wildlife in their natural habitat? Our experienced guides can get you the best photo shots possible. Elk, deer, antelope, and more! ...

We are Arizona natives who have hunted, ranched, camped and lived on the land for 5 generations. We are experienced, professional guides who can get you up close and personal with Arizona wildlife in their natural habitat. Wildlife viewing opportunity abounds in the mountains and the deserts of Arizona. Elk, deer, antelope, and much more can be seen and photographed.
The very best viewing and photo opportunities come in the early morning and late afternoon/evening hours for most animals. A typical day would start before sunrise as we venture out in search of wildlife. After several hours, we will return to camp for a hearty brunch, and a nice rest. During the middle of the day, scouting for the evening venture takes place. Upon return from the evening photo trip, dinner is prepared and served. After reminiscing around the campfire, we retire to our tents for a well deserved sleep. We want to make this the best experience you've ever had and are open to requests. The physical condition/limitations of our clients will be taken into consideration as to the intensity and mode of travel on these excursions. Keep in mind, that these expeditions take place in the wilderness, not on a game ranch, therefore hiking is required most of the time.

Kenya is a land of endless potential for the wildlife enthusiast. From great migratory herds of the open savannah to an incredible abundance of birdlife, from the depths of a tropical rainforest to the depths of the Indian Ocean teeming with fish, Kenya is a world of natural wonders.

Kenya holds some remarkable birding sights that you have to see them to believe. You can find the world’s biggest bird, the Ostrich, but also spectacular flamingos that congregate in their millions at the various Lakes of the Great Rift Valley and camouflage them in pink,

With eleven percent of the world’s species – some 1089 different varieties, Kenya’s birding is one of the best in the world.
It is not unusual to record 300-600 different varieties on a short trip or to record more than 120 at a particular site on a single day!
The variety of birds in Kenya is made possible by the favourable climate, diverse habitats and geographical features that make it a suitable migratory route for birds.

This tour has been organised to cover some of the best birding areas and aims to visit a range of habitats.

Besides bird-watching we will give attention to game-viewing in general. Most places do have fabulous possibilities.

The extension of the trip has been specially designed to observe game in big numbers in one of the most spectacular and most beautiful places in Africa, the Masai Mara.

It goes without saying that all our accommodation is of the usual very high standard. This tour is relaxed and recommended if comfort and easy pace is required. All guests have regular options, either join-in with group birding/game viewing or opt-out and enjoy your own company. You, the client, have choices unlike with so many other group tours!
