BikeHike Adventures offers small group multisport adventures. We specialize in Costa Rica, Belize, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. Next year Turkey, New Zealand and Cuba are up and coming destinations for us. All of our trips are active and combine a multitude of activities from mountain biking, rock climbing and horseback riding to sea kayaking, whitewater rafting and canopy touring. Our routes are through remote wilderness settings , keeping travelers off the beaten track, We understand that people come in all shapes and sizes and have different ability levels, and we've rated our trips accordingly from easy to moderate to challenging, We also specialize in custom adventures for families, honeymooners and groups of friends. We wake at the crack of dawn, refortify with a hearty breakfast and hop on our bikes for a ride on dirt roads to the put in on the river. The next 15 miles is a river descent on the Pacuare River, carving our way through a lush river valley. Lunch is a picnic on the riverbank and then we cast off again for a few more exciting rapids. For the hearty souls amongst the group, theres a 20 foot cliff jump ahead into a emerald pool in the rainforest. At take out our support vehicle awaits us with mountain bikes geared and ready to go. The final frontier is an ascent up Mt. Talamanca, winding our way up to our retreat for the night, a mountaintop lodge up in the clouds. Dinner, wine, beer and massages are on tonights agenda for all.

Hiking, climbing, ghost towns, wildlife viewing, swimming, back road sightseeing, wild horses, kid friendly domestic animals. And of course there is star gazing and just plain quiet relaxation. Horseback riding and hot-air balloon rides available for an extra charge. We are in the Range and Basin area of central Nevada. Hot springs, mountain peaks, wild horses, elk deer and antelope. Indian petroglyphs, ghost towns and working cattle ranches are all in our back yard. The Pony Express is just to our north.
A typical day is what you want it to be. I will guide you on any adventure you want or you are free to head out on your own.

If you seek an adventure that will immerse you in your environment, this is the place for you! We pick you up from your arrival and bring you to our basecamp in Windham for a good night's sleep. From here, we get an early start and head to your first destination. Each day finds you in a different part of the state to enjoy another exciting adventure, from the interior western mountains, to Baxter State Park and majestic Mt. Katahdin, to the rocky coastal waters. You will enjoy Mountain Biking on challenging single track, Whitewater Rafting the West Branch of the Penobscot river, Hiking the terminal leg of the Appalachian trail to the top of Katahdin, canoeing one of a multitude of secluded, pristine lakes, rock climbing with accomplished instructors, and sea kayaking among coastal islands.
Your trip is fully supported. All you bring is a sleeping bag, clothing, and your appetite for high adventure and great food cooked over an open fire.
With our multisport adventures, there's no such thing as a typical day. Your day may start with a hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausage with some locally produced maple syrup, or fire-toasted bagels if we need to get off to a quick start. We will take you to the start of the day's adventure where you'll meet with Maine Guides who are experts in their field. They will provide any necessary gear and instruction, then we set out to bound, splash, climb, bounce and laugh through the day.
We will have snack food and provide a lunch appropriate to the day's activities, and end the day with a fire cooked meal, of if travel is required, we may stop at one of the many fine, rustic eating establishments we have discovered through the years. We can set up a campfire where stories, songs, or the simple cry of the loon is our evening's entertainment.
